Adidas your one post actually made me want to use Plastidip rather then paint.
I painted the emblems on my GT several different ways... ended up plastidip spraying them and it was MUCH easier. It forms nicely and is much more forgiving (user friendly) than paint and far less prep work.

Very much so. I did one of my center caps paint and the others plasti dip. I'm going to be sanding and plasti dipping tomorrow.

Really... I don't think u would need to do any sanding, just make sure the surface is cleaned up nicely.

so basically there is almost no prep work for the plasti, hummm I might have to get a can and try it out on something before I decide.

only prep work recomded is to clean the surface and use alcohol to remove any grease and then goto town on it. I did my Mustang rear emblem and the wheels on my Escalade.

After

I contacted the Plati-Dip company just to see if they offered the stuff in clear. She said they did and it also comes in various colors including fluorescent. You can purchase it by the gallon for spray guns.
Toolmarts online has it.

if you can find it at homedepot, lowes or a local hardware store its much cheaper the can is $6. online it averages around $15-$20 per can that is way to expensive, I found 7 cans at O'Reilly for $3.50 each can, so happy hunting guys, let online be your last choice. I will be buying a gallon of white and some primer to do my metal gate.

Question Question before doing my emblems

So I washed and clayed the car earlier and was getting ready to wax it. I was wanting to plastidip my emblems today. Should I wax before doing the dip or after. Think it would make a difference either way?
