Default 2012 GT Random Misfire:(

I was cruising to work this morning at 75 80mph at 2krpms and my 5.0 starting sounding like it had an exhaust on it. The drone was louder then 04's full bassani exhaust and to top it off it was pulsing the sound. I couldn't feel it at all though. Did this for probably 2mins and that was it.. Is there a TSB for this or something? Cant imagine what could be bad on a new car to cause that:/

Did it throw any codes?

What are your mods?

If you can't feel it, it was probably a sound versus a mechanical issue.

Don't the 2010+ GT's have that lamo Sound Tube from the intake to the interior of the car to make "sound" like a muscle car to the driver?

I'd start there and see if maybe that tubing is loose.

I wouldn't worry about it. No codes.....running fine now......keep on driving. Now, if it happens a second time, there might be something but without a code, there is not much that can be done. Could have been a bit of crud in the fuel too.

This happened with my 2010.. I thought it was a tuning issue cause the car ran like crap on cold start sometimes, but after that tank of gas I filled up with fresh Sunoco and it was fine. Like Azpete said it could be crud in the fuel.
