Battery Help
#11
I crimped it on with a pair of pliers. I bought the two wire terminal for the positive cable,
so it was two crimps. Pretty easy. I also bought a pair of the battery post felt washers
and put some grease on the battery posts before hooking up the cables.
I replaced the battery at the same time, although the OE battery was cranking fine,
I assumed it was leaking gas from the positive post. Posts and terminals are clean as
a whistle after about a year.

You may not need a new clamp. As long as the crack hasn't broken the clamp in half it should still work.
I would agree it sounds like you need a new battery. Go to NAPA and ask them to check your battery. They will do it for free. They can tell you if it needs to be replaced.
Also, if you battery has "eyes" (could be spelled incorrectly, I am not sure) you may be able to tell yourself. This will be a small viewing hole on your battery. Look into it, if you see anything else besides green, it needs to be replaced.
Corrosion (green fuzzy stuff) is usually a good indication of bad battery too. Make sure to clean this off before attaching the new battery.

Use some CRC Battery Terminal Protector and your repair wont corrode again...
Both my terminals looked wasted and beyond repair.
I cleaned them up with some CDC Battery Terminal Cleaner
and reassemblem them and then sprayed them with the
CDC Protector. I give them a quick spray everytime I have the
hood open or once a month which ever comes first...
3 years later and they look OEM new.
