forward folding hood
an answer to all who responded to my request....first, thanks kput for your kind words. yes, im new to Mustang forums. and yes, im 72 years old. not familiar with the term "trol", but im sure this must be some derogatory term used by the younger "idiotic" generation. I looked on this site hoping for some information on a folding hood for my Mustang. I know some have made folding doors etc.,so its not beyond the realm of possibility, after all Corvettes have them......As for the rest of you who made fun of me....i have a 2005 Mustang GT 550hp whipple power, ceramic headers, no cats. The hood has a pegasus horse with a mean looking Mustang face...sides have flames to match hood. Has won 2nd in class at the Carl Casper show. sooooo...for all of the idiots here, id be glad to show you what a REAL Mustang looks and runs like.......nuff said Lil_Bud
Is the stock hood kinda heavy? My guess is to do the reverse hood/folding hood would require mounting 2 hood struts on either side, but then lies the issue with what to do with the hood latch. Do Corvettes have the latch release thing closer to the windshield or on the side somewhere?

but from the way you typed "soooooo..." and "nuff said", it leads me to doubt you are 72 years old.
But anyways,
contact mechanics near you and talk to them. There are no such kits for Mustangs available.
2nd post is 'forward folding hood'...
How bout some lambo kits for the doors...
And the spinning trunk lid option...

Can we get a mod in here to delete OP's phone and email from the original post?
Lil_bud, I think you're mistaking everyone's comments as unconstructive criticism when we're only trying to help. Only a couple of us thought you might be a troll, as you only have 1 post (now two posts) and it just felt like we were being trolled (trolling is acting idiotic just to get a rise out of people online).
No one criticized your ride. No one criticized you personally. Some just thought you were a troll due to the aforementioned reasons. No need to puff out your chest and get your boxers in a knot.
In conclusion:
1)-Nothing like that of a forward folding hood that we know of exists in mass production
2)-You're going to have to get it custom fab'd that's even if it's possible. I think it can be done as the stock aluminum hoods are pretty light (to answer your question GTVert) compared with fiberglass hoods and you shouldn't have any problem from a stability standpoint when mounted to the front corners (my guess).
3)-I'm sure you've got a nice mustang. However, you haven't posted pics of the exterior, engine bay, or dyno sheets. So until then, nothing is proven.
