Not sure if it is just a fuel kill switch or if it knocks out the electrical also.
Its a direct mechanical switch thats before the fuel pump only.
Excessive Inertia operated. Fully mechanical in design.
For if you roll over and such.
It does nothing but kill the 12VDC to the fuel pump.
Nothing else.
It controls the 12VDC power going to the FPDM or fuel pump driver module in the trunk.
Thats what I get from the Ford Wiring Diagrams...

Man can someone draw electrical diagrams like a pro....

I haven't seen anything of a kill switch on the passenger side... However, there is a fuel reset switch on the driver's side... It doesn't act as an on-off switch as pressing it will not kill the fuel, only reset it once it has been tripped.

Thankfully, I have fixed the problem.

kput, It turned out to be the ignition fuse. It blew for some strange reason. I really wish the owner's manual listed the fuse locations in it. I scoured that damn thing on the side of the road trying to identify which fuses are where.

AMChrisYoung, I don't have any aftermarket audio/video stuff. However, the previous owner did as he left the power cable running from the engine bay to the trunk as well as what I assume is an amplifier remote turnon wire. I don't know where it is connected to, if anything at all. Looks like i will need to be tearing my interior apart to figure that out and remove them from possibly being an issue later on.

Once again, thanks for the helpful advice.

Have a good night folks and be safe.

Glad to hear you got it taken care of, Don!

What was it!?

I would look into that aftermarket wiring and get rid of it if you don't need it. It's going to cause nothing but problems, especially if it was done by a hack, which most stereo installs are.

I traced the remote turn-on to the front of the car and low and behold it was still wired into the car. It was hot and must have grounded out causing the fuse to blow. I was able to remove the culprit and now all is good...

Thanks for the help everyone.

Yet another reason to NOT get aftermarket carp installed
on your stang by Mr.Yahoo. The next owner almost always
has problems with it.
Hot wires getting gounded? Sounds like a very bad install...

Ugh, that's such a PITA! Sorry to hear that it caused you such a headache, but I'm glad you were able to get it straightened out! You sound quite proficient which definitely made it easier!

Thanks for the update!

Take care, Don!

Yea, nothing better than going to the local best-buy to have some 16 year old installing your stereo and remote start. Brilliant!

I wonder if it could be a grounding issue. My friends civic had a loose grounding wire that prevented the car from turning on, but all the lights would work. It took the dealership 3 days to find it. And all they had to do was screw it to the frame. lol.
