I do think you should contact Champion for a refund, that you deserve.

The new design of plug refers to the revised head on the November 07+ build of '08 mustangs.

In order to utilize that new spark plugh (more traditional looking) you woul dneed to swap your heads and COP system to work with the new head/plug.

I've had champion in my car for 20K+ miles without a single problem. Perhaps the procelain was cracked on the batch the YM42 had?

http://forums.themustangsource.com/f...s-work-478171/ picture about 2/3 of the way down shows the new plug design versus the older 2-piece.

Exactly how I felt when I replaced my misfiring Champions with the original Motorcraft earlier this year.

I wonder how come Champion people do not know about it? I am thinking to write to them and possibly try to get my money back...
