Spencer...

IF your car was made before May... it is a function that the dealership can activate... if it was made during or after May - they removed that function.

Seems people windows were going down by themselves, or by other peoples key fobs.. so rather then FIX the problem, Ford just removed the function.

Dang it, just when I was gettin' all warm and fuzzy over Ford making a decent Mustang successor you go and spoil it with talk like that. Mine was built in June and I really, really wanted that feature. In TX, it's awesome to be able to crack your windows while you're still 30 yards from the car so the initial blast of 130 degree air doesn't singe your eyebrows and dry out your eyes!

Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Oh well, it's still the sweetest ride I've ever personally owned, including my 1972 Challenger. Ah, those were the days.....

That's usefull information on the windows. I have also heard that after removing the window roll down, that they also added daytime running lights as a feature, do you know if this is true?

Thanks,

Chris

Hmm, can anyone maybe tell me why, when I get into the car, it happened twice today, that my little info screen, says Security Problem? Is that cause when I arm the active antitheft, (i usually lock it twice, 2 horn blows) that I cant open my trunk then without it being a security breech or no? I was really confused by it.

PROFFESSOR ! ! Where did you get that info ?? I have been looking for info (on paper) since I got My 06(built in Aug05)
and delivered to me in Aug 05. I have the Active Anti-theft and the dealer added an aftermarket alarm, while trying
to figure out how to program I was constantly asking the dealer "What does the aftermarket equip do that the factory Active anti-theft doesn't , the only answer I ever got was finally that, "we are going to refund ypu the price of the aftermarket alarm. So I'm still trying to figure out what is factory and what is aftermarket. The dealer is nor long any help..
I am looking for ANY written info (such as the pages you attached, Thank You) but I need to know the source..

Tin Pony...

I did the same, only it was my idea rather then the dealers. First you need to find out what make and model the additional alarm is... then just go to that companies website and pull down the documentation.

My Docs from Fords alarm came from the Ford Shop Manual CD... I don't have one.. I just borrowed one.
