It's running fine now.

Ouch. You may want to bring it to the dealer so they can check it out. Hopefully your dad didn't do too much damage to your 'Stang!

I've smoked the clutch a few times on mine and it recovered after a few trips of normal driving. But, mine is a Mcleod RST. Once my stock clutch started slipping there was nothing that could fix it or the shuttering from what I assume was from some hot spots.
