Love the one you're with...
no its not.
hp is not the only thing to consider. the older gt will still out run the new 6. and it won't throw a drive shaft if you take it above 120.......... oh and that v8 rumble sounds so so sexy.
not knocking the new 6, its a great engine and it makes the new v6 mustang a pretty quick car........and yes its close to the old v8, but still not on par yet in stock form. it doesn't have the torque the 4.6 has.

Ha lets not turn this into a V6 vs. V8 debate.
OP, my husband has the same problem.
I will tell you what I told him, do you like your car?
If so suck it up, do something to it that will make you like it more and chill.
A new V6 is a very good car, but it won't matter how much nice the car is you get next, you will have the same problem.

I literally cringed when I heard the "event" happen... I would have to change my shorts before calling the tow truck.
I can't believe I hadn't heard about this.
Don
How old are you?
When I was in my early 20's I went thru cars just like you. I was making good money and I was single. I loved it. Now I'm older, married, and have two kids. I still make ok dough, but I have other priorities. So now I have a car I dig and mod it to my liking. Don't get me wrong if I come into a bunch of money, the 2013 GT 500 would be mine!
Looking back it most likely cost me thousands if not more than ten thousand to trade cars in and get new ones(never actually new, but new to me). I remember at one point I had a Jeep Wrangler and a Cadillac Deville at the same time. It was great, but expensive. If your young, enjoy yourself. You only get one shot to be young. If you are older and can afford it I still say go for it.

I don't think I'd get bored of the 2013 GT500 any time soon, only it's "too cutie" looking rear tail lights. 70's graphics never turned me on. I'd still think they tipped the angle of the rear in too much, and tapered the tail lights too much. Erik
No offense, just an honest answer...
Anyone who changes cars every 6 months is either rich or financially irresponsible. You own a V6 Mustang so I highly doubt it's the former since people with money to burn tend to buy more expensive cars.
I can say this because many years ago I was irresponsible to the point where I had a car repossesed because I ran out of money doing the same stuff you're doing.
You should either keep what you have and make it nice or do your research, figure out what you want out of a car, and get the car that makes you happy. Everyone wants a 500HP Mustang, but can we all afford it or is it responsible? Not for everyone.
