Default First time grinding gears

Hay guys its really cold out -15(Canada) and when I came to put it in 2nd gear it had a bit of a grind. I know the reason is because the tranny was still cold! I'm just a little worried that I could have damaged something in the tranny!

Nope, no damage. It happens from time to time in my car when it is really cold but the key is to just take the shifts nice and easy for the first few miles.

When I had a stock shifter it was easier to grind the gears when cold. But just make sure to push the clutch in all the way and don't rush through the gears until the tranny warms up.
I doubt you hurt anything, the gears are fairly strong.
An MGW shifter got rid of this problem.

Agree with the others. No damage was done.
I've ground 3rd gear a few times during speed shifting, and it still engages smoothly.
