Detailing is a fun time, worth it at the end in particular. My girlfriend however didn't enjoy my 8 hour investment with the DA and new chemical guys polishes the day after Christmas lol.
Just for the record, I have brought a floor jack in my car to a car wash and jacked it up to pressure wash the undercarriage, although a friend of mine (professional detailer with 20+ years of experience) told me that it could force bits of salt and grit deeper into the little nooks and crannies, so I dunno for sure.
