Talking Found Problem FINALLY

So I've been dealing with this squeak in my rear, right side wheel well area and for months I couldn't pinpoint the problem. Yesterday when I was washing my car I decided to spray every bolt around there with WD40. One by one I would spray, and then shake the car to see if it squeaked. I finally came to one that I sprayed and it finally didn't squeak. Now, what's the real problem and what can I do to prevent the squeak for good. A new bolt? Tighten it? Here's some pics of the bolt im talking about.

If Im not mistaken, that's a lower control arm. Chances are the bushing is making the noise. Given it's probably torqued to factory, I would not crank on it. You could get a replacement bushing, pull the bolt, grease the new bushing, put the bolt back in and torque it back to factory. But usually the bushings are sold as a set, so you might as well plan on pulling the lca off on both sides to replace the bushing...and if you're doing that, you might as well consider putting an aftermarket performance lca (which should come with new bushings!) on the car...It'll help eliminate wheel hop when you install 4.10s

Upgrade your lower control arms!!! Perfect oppertunity lol

I'm not sure if those bushings press out of you may have to buy the whole arm.
(with the front control arm bushings, if you want to replace them with factory ones, you have to replace the whole arm.)

Just get the J&M HotPart lower control arms with the poly ball bushings and replace those. The rear end will feel a lot tighter than before, the poly ball bushing will let you take corners without binding, and the squeak will be gone.

For a quick fix I wouldn't use WD40, try going to the local walmart and getting some water proof spray on silicon and saturating the area where the bushing is with that.

That's what fixed my squeak, but a full fix (with some added benefit) are the new LCAs everyone is talking about, I'll get around to those sometime lol.

That's more than enough excuse to change out control arms! lol I have a squeak as well, maybe I should investigate to see if it is that bolt.

Get these

Use Toco Bills awesome write up to install.

Squirting silicon spray or WD40 is a temporary solution at best. It *will* start to squeak again in a month or two.
