Default Q about CDC Shaker

Before I ask my question, I need to explain that I'm married and for those who are, hopefully, you understand my dilema... For those single (not divorsed, 'cause that's a whole different issue), it might be hard to understand why I am considering this...

I purchased from another member here their CDC Shaker setup when they upgraded to the Saleen Supershaker. It is in excellent condition and I was looking forward to installing it in a couple months (when it warmed up). I was showing my wife pics of it installed on other cars and she said she didn't like it, but that it was my car and I could do whatever I want (this is where you other married guys would probably understand). This means that she would rather I not cut into my hood and install it. So in an attempt to make SWMBO happy and not argue the virtues of customizing my car to make it a bit more individualized, I've considered selling the CDC Shaker.

The single guys would likely think I'm out of my gourd. Divorced dudes will likely WANT to install it just to **** her off... I half expect some of that... LOL...

Now the technical question. I know that there are 2 different part numbers. One for the 05-06 and another for the 07-09. What is the true difference? Would someone with an 08 be able to buy this and make it work relatively inexpensively or is this going to only be good for another 05-06 owner?

Thanks (and let the flaming begin... LOL...)

Too funny D... I would try this...

Hold on to the shaker, and find a crap ton of pictures of nice looking stangs with the shaker, and wait till she is in a good mood and show her the pictures.

If she still says she doesn't like it, just ask... "is it because of the looks, or because of me cutting into the hood"

If it's the looks, you are screwed, if because she is worried, then you have some working room

I actually want to keep it, but like I said, I have to consider what the misses wants to... Besides, she said if I sold it, then she wouldn't have a problem with me spending that dough on suspension mods instead.

Well your right about one thing bro, i'm single and I don't understand a damn bit of this.
My mind automatically migrates to the following senerio...
Little lady comes home with a pair of shoes or maybe a purse and asks me if I "like them". No matter what I say, do you think its gonna matter if she likes them...probably not.
Anyways what's the big hassle, its just a hood not a lifestyle...im so glad im single, I would have the jigsaw out getting busy already
I think it would look sweet, especially on red.

LOL always say yes, if you say no, then she will question weather or not you ever liked anything she has asked, and then it leads to if she is fat, looks good, or if you love her...

Dark road to go down lol

You my friend are a smart man, always make the wife happy! lol

Show her a picture of Taco Bill's car (somewhere on here) It's red like yours so maybe that will help.

If you're so concerned what your wife will think, why didn't you consult her before purchasing it? Man up, put the damn thing on the car! The wife could care less.

Because of the one cardinal rule for married guys... It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission... LOL... actually, I told her I was getting it before I bought it, but I guess she didn't realize what I was talking about...

Back to the pertinent question, does anyone know what is different between the 05/06 version and the 07-09 version?
