Default I goofed somewhere

So yeah I bought a new fob for my mustang because I only have one key. I successfully programmed the new fob and it works fine, however, my old original fob has stopped working, what the hell did I do?!

You have to program both fobs. When you programmed your new fob it changed the information and deleted your old fob is all. That way someone can't use an old fob if you lose it.

Just follow the directions in the owners manual and do both fobs at the same time in sequence and you will be fine.

Simple fix + impatience = eventual satisfaction

Breath easy that it's not something that'll cost you more time and money like many of our other goofs.

I knew it was something simple, but the stupid instructions never stated to do both remotes at the same time.... sooo glad I put in one of those trunk buttons..

I bought a new FOB but never programmed it cause the nice guy whom owned my car before me kept the manual. Does anyone have an online link to programming one?

step 1 sit in your damn car with all the doors and trunk closed.
step2 put your damn key in the ignition and turn it to the on position 8 times
step3 you will hear the damn doors lock/unlock your car is now in programming mode
step4 at this damn time push a button on the remote you intend to program you will hear the locks engage
step5 click the damn buttons on any other remotes you wish to program within 20 secs of starting the programming mode.
step6 test your damn remotes
