New pics
I'm using a 60d. It's a cool rig from canon, I always heard its the photographer not the gear but upgrading the gear REALLY helps. The video feature is cool too. I like being able to shoot in HD.
All of the pics posted have been edited. I chose not to go with a heavy PP look as it weights the background and foreground heavier than the actual subject matter. Besides, I didn't need HDR to get the pic, everything was exposed right, no clipped hi/lo lights so all that happened was adding Halos degrading the image.
Thanks, the car makes it easy as I'm sure you know.
Yes. Yes I am.

The 60D is a nice camera, and you shouldn't want to 'upgrade' for a while. I shot with a Nikon D50 for years and upgraded to the D300s when it came out. My reasons were basically for double the megapixels and 3x the FPS, which I needed for sports, and the option of shooting video. Most any digital camera in the last 5 years is capable of producing beautiful images. Image quality is more about the lens than the body itself.
Here's an idea on what I was talking about. I spent literally 3 minutes on this, just tweaking the curves (lights, darks, shadows) to take out the flat mid-tones and boosting contrast a tad to make it pop.
I also increased the overall exposure a little to make the car stand out, and put a gradient exposure filter on the sky, to bring it back down and retain the character in the clouds.
It's not as extreme as HDR, but still helps bring it to life. It's not perfect, but I hope it helps.

Saturation and clarity is a little high for my tastes. I try to avoid introducing things like the color casts in the windows but if you love the look as is and want to avoid that you can always PP in some window tint.
