Default Do I need anything else?

I currently have a 2010 GT with 15,000 miles, I have had it since it was 4 miles old. I am going in to get some springs put on here in Southern Cali at this place, www.gtrhipo.com/. The owner recommended the Steeda lowering sport springs and I am fine with that. He stated though that I would be fine with just springs because of my low mileage. They did an awesome job on my 04 GT with springs, shocks, CC plates, etc. So the question is, will I be OK with just the springs? These guys have a good reputation here in Southern Cali and I trust them. I just wanted to run it by you guys also! Thanks

Nope...you need the shocks to complement the springs! Contact Sam Strano.....

PS. Great job to do yourself btw! Not sure about the 2010, but I had to install the Steeda heavy duty strut mounts.

Thanks Roy! I see you are right down the road from me, I'm in Temecula. Are the shocks a must or just something recommended? I also can't do it myself as I have no tools and not sure if this brand new complex would let me in this garage. I don't understand now why they would tell me that! Oh boy......................

Your ride looks awesome, wish I could do it myself. They are charging me $200 for the install. I think there labor is $90 an hour.

Lawrence,

We are thinking about moving to the Orlando area if we can get this house sold. We bought here after I got out the Air Force 3 years ago. It's a nice area but something is missing. How do you feel about springs only?

As Roy recommended, give Sam Strano a call. He can tell you just what you need based on what you want from the car. You may be ok with the OE shocks but IMO, a few more $$'s will get you much better handling.

So $200 just for the shock install is low? OK! Here's what they are doing:

I currently have Magnapack axlebacks, they are installing a Magnaflow cut and clamp x-pipe
$299
$90 install

Steeda tri-ax short throw shifter
$254
$125 install

Steeda lowering springs
$255
$215 install

Thanks Nuke,

I will call tomorrow. I'm just looking for a balance of looks and drivability. I hate seeing pictures of cars with nice wheels, but the car looks like a truck. I am getting wheels from AM next week when my tax return is deposited. So springs are a must!
