Subs
To hit all the lows in that song, you would need subs. 10's have a tighter bass than 12's, if you listen to rap mostly, I would go with 12's.
From what I have noticed from listening to different systems, you don't need subs that require a lot of wattage in order to rattle windows of buildings. You just need two subs that are run close to their peak wattage and they will blow you away. One may even work for you, it just depends.
Some trusted online sites for car audio that you may want to check out with low prices are www.woofersetc.com and www.crutchfield.com. I would recommend, Rockford Fosgate, Polk Audio, JL, Alpine or Kenwood for subs.

I'm think the second one is pretty nice

One thing you can get into big issues with in amps is that when you get into the lower prices you get into really cheap products that will end up messing up quickly.
I have a cheap 500 watt amp that runs my two subs, it plays them really well but overheats after 30 minutes of playing rock music at a decent volume in 60+ temps.
I have personally heard this combo and it sounds really good and it looks to be about your price range without shipping, I don't know what shipping is for those two companies I mentioned earlier but this is the amp and here are the subs That should probably get you set, you would need a wiring kit for the amp too.
But hey, anyone can tell you what they think is good too. It's all subjective, I would try and visit a stereo shop near you and see what you can listen to and make a call for yourself.
PS. Best Buy usually is not the best place to ask for advice, those people in those sections half the time don't know what they are talking about unfortunately..

the system in my camaro is sony xplod and it sounds great especially for the money. The only thing I would recommend is making sure you get an amp with a fan built in. I have the 1200 watt amp with no fan and it will overheat and shutoff fairly quick.
Hmm... Got a recommendation?
I stopped by Best Buy tonight with my friend and checked out their audio systems. I saw a dual 12" kicker subwoofers with enclosure hooked up to a kicker amp and it sounded really nice, model dc122. As of now im looking at a single 12" kicker model vc12 in an enclosure, and also a kicker dx300 amplifier :

how do you think this combo would work out in my car?

Here are some ideas.
Amp - $109

Enclosure - $104

Sub - $75
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...07CVR10-2.aspx
Amp install kit - $35
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...te_Kit650.aspx
Total - $323
The amp has speaker level inputs so you won't have to mess with a line out coverter or buying RCA cables which if all you want to do is add an amp to the rear that should suffice. You will still have to run the power wire from the battery, and find somewhere to tap in for the remote wire but that should be easy.
I've bought quite a few things from onlinecarstereo.com and haven't had any problems, neither has my friend that's bought stuff.
Disclaimer - I am not a professional nor an audiophile. I just like my music loud and clear. And I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

For any sub I would go with at least an 0 gauge power and ground cable. I've had two twelves burn out a 4 gauge before, barely pushing the power on it. Especially considering you're going to be stretching from the front of the car to the rear, you won't go wrong with 0 gauge.
I burned out the 4 gauge on the BMW, and the power and ground cables were only a few feet long with the battery in the trunk.

I have a 12in Kenwood Exelon Subwoofer which definately brought the audio sound in my BMW to life. Going to put it in my Stang when I get back and as someone mentioned earlier, going to purchase a fan built am, because my 400 watt cheap amp is not cuttin it. I listen to rap, regae, and regaeton and even with the cheap amp, the sound is pretty awesome (just overheats too quickly)....
Good luck
Good luck
How did you "burn out" a 4 gauge wire?
Here is a wire size chart that is pretty useful determining the size you need.
http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/S...e_Speaker-Wire
4 gauge will handle about 1,000 watts RMS (about 80Amps) in our cars if you run the wire from the standard battery location to the Amp...about 16 feet. Two feet of 4 gauge can handle 250A, which is more that our Mustangs take to start the engine.
Oversizing the wire is nice, but you need to be able to professionally crimp or solder the larger connectors, and larger wire is harder to bend. I'd make sure I fuse the hot wire near the battery and use good quality wire. All wire has a rating of resistance per 1,000 feet, the lower the number the better the quality. The more strands the wire has, the easier it will flex.
