okay guys everything is finally installed

here's my sub.

the rear speakers i got.

and the crappy stock rear speakers.

Anyways, I got my amp and rear speakers installed at a local stereo/video shop. The final result is amazingggg! The bass is insane and everything sounds so clean! The amp is in the trunk, its drilled into right side of the trunk, adjacent to the back seat. I will take a video later showing the whole setup in more detail

I have a 12" Kicker L7 powered by a Kicker 750.1 amp in my trunk and lets just say my mirrors are rendered useless when listening to On My Level. But trunk space is a bit tight these days. Of course if you built a nice enough box instead of sitting a giant cube in the center it wouldnt be so bad. But a new head unit and speakers is a good start too. Just adding my Clarion nx409 head unit made the speakers sound a good bit better

You're so right man! My mirrors vibrate sooo much when my bass levels are turned up and i really love it! Yeah trunk space is a little tight too but i won't be using my trunk that much anyways : )

Overall...I paid 110 for the subwoofer, 130 for the amp, 120 for the rear kenwood speakers and roughly 200 bucks for setting my amp and installing everything, along with some extra cables. So I paid a total of 560 bucks. but if i didnt get the rear speakers it would have been about 380-400 bucks.

as for the sub did it come with the box? So overall if you would have gotten the rear speakers it would have been about a grand correct? Where in NC did you get this done?

yeah the sub and enclosure came together. and no with the sub, amp, and rear speakers + install it was 560 bucks, I was just saying without the speakers you'd be looking at around 380 bucks. I got it all done at Freeman's Stereo/Video

Matt, when you get your car let me know if you want to do something and I'd be glad to help out with the install.

appreciate it Jeff! I'm actually researching now and going to order stuff real soon. Looking at either (borla Atak vs Roush exhaust), and researching on door speakers/subs, will do the back depending on how much the overall cost is.

I'm currently thinking of going with a 12inch Kickerz sub, but not sure what door speakers to get. I want quality speakers, even if I have to pay a little bit more. The first week or two I have my car I plan on having the exhaust, sound system, and window tint taken care of. Are you familiar with wiring of a sound sytem?? Never done one before

I have installed all my own systems. it isn't too complicated if you have a little experience.. If you're in town on St. Pattys day I will be down your way and you can take a listen to mine and see how you feel about it.
