Default Nxt Step Performance Exhaust

My current setup: Roush m90, Detroit Rocker cams, longtubes, offroad H pipe, cherry bomb and m80 resonators with AT Flowmasters........It had a great idle and cruising tone but horrible 3v pop at partial and full throttle. Before the m90 it sounded great, after I installed it, I just hated the tone. It was embarrassing when it made that popping sound.

After much research I read about a few guys going back to stock GT mufflers. I found some online and ordered them. Felt like my stang was neutered. It was way too quiet for my tastes. Full throttle was very nice but all the ***** were gone. No way I could settle for that tone.

I saw an ad on my local craigslist for these Nxt Step Axlebacks about 2 months ago. The guy had two sets. I had never heard of them so I didnt respond. Now disgusted with my tone I called the guy, made a deal ($100) and he shipped them from Oahu to Maui.( He tried them on his xpipe setup and hated them. Took if off after a couple of days). I installed them Friday. Drivers side lined up perfectly. Passenger side not so good. I ended up sliding the hanger through the side of the rubber part of the Ford bracket and it lined up almost perfect out the back. They come with nice 4` stainless tips too.

Started it up and wow what a difference. These are a straight through design not a chamber style muffler. The tone is very DEEP. With my H pipe and mid mounted resonators its even deeper. Now cruising around you can hear a nice tone but not a irritating drone. At partial and full throttle its a massive DEEP tone. Sounds very old school. I really like it. I took some video but the winds on Maui today are gusting to 35 mph so its quite noisy. My crappy camera also picks up way too much background noise and little to no bass, so the sound is marginal to say the least. In person this tone has *****. You can hear that it has headers, cams etc...

You can find these axlebacks on Ebay for cheap too. I think the guy is out of stock at the moment. The stainless steel has a spotless mirror finish. I just bought the axlebacks but he does make a header back 3`kit.
