Juts got a Red Optima size 35. It doesn't fit. WTF?

Its too small. Slides around in the factory battery tray. And the factory battery strap is too long to hold it down.

I thought a lot of people used this battery. What do I need to do? And what size to I need?

They supply adapters for that sort of thing (or at least they did when I purchased mine).

 

Got mine at Autozone. They don't know a thing about adapters.

The battery slides left-to-right and the factory strap is too long. Frustrating.

Screw it. I'll take it back and try a Interstate battery.

Just shorten the strap. All it takes is a hot soldering iron to make a new hole. I just got a new battery from oreilly's and had to shorten the strap.

My stock battery lasted 3 years, my autozone battery didn't even make it to 3.

Mine came with adapters to make it fit, but I still ended up getting the UPR mount anyway. It is a great looking piece.

 

I just replaced my stock with a bigger one. On mine there were two space adapters that just popped out. Ford parts should be able to fix you up.

 

Mine also fit fine.I was able to use the original strap and it fit well.
