Default I Feel dumb..

So I picked up some Dual 12" Kicker Comp subs the other day, in a pre-loaded enclosure from best buy. They were on clearence, ran me about 300 with the 2 year warranty.
Got the amp for it today, a Kicker 250W to go along with.

Spent an hour or two cleaning up the trunk, got a board to mount in and make the crappy stock one more steady..got the amp installed and wired,

then when it comes time to put the subs in..I realize that they don't fit.
My skinny azz spent about an hour, trying every angle possible, lifting and moving these 50lbs subs around.

Took the flooring out of the trunk to allow them to go into the wheel well to see if I could get them in..
took the latch thing that holds the trunk closed off..

I tried EVERYTHING, and still came up about 3 inches short...got all but one damn corner in..so they were literally like 4 inches too big.

So I guess aside from venting..
I'm also curious if there's anything else I could try LOL.
Aside from ripping body panels off my car.
hah.

Oh, did I mention I tried them out to see if they worked, and they don't even work? So either the sub or amp is busted.
Best buy's gunna get it.

Check out my thread about what I did with my subs. Granted - making a trapezoidal box isn't easy - but it does look good and fits (so tightly I didn't need to bolt it down to anything). PM if you have any Qs

Do you have the subs firing towards the back of your car? Try lying the enclosure on its back so they fire up. Maybe that'll fit..

Could you take some pictures? It's possible it might not fit, my friends box with 2 10's barely fits. I'd just make a box, it's fairly easy and cheap, home depot sells MDF. Oh and how did you test them out?

I tried every possible angle to get them in the trunk, lol.. Doesn't matter which directions.
I'm taking them back soon since they don't work.

I put them in the backseat to test them.

Yeah, some like that...
Create your on boxes (plywood and carpet material) and swap the guts?

I made my own box! Easy as long as you have a jig saw, a skill saw, a drill, and a caulk gun.

I'm with him.
Can you not get them in if you lay down the backseats?
