Which Axleback?
So I just put the pypes off road x pipe on my car the other day. Had the pype bombs on there with the o/r x. Wow way too loud and it didn't sound good AT ALL, still had the stock mufflers laying around so decided to put those back on with the x pipe. Sounds pretty good. But the question is are they hurting any performance? Also which axle back would be the best sounding with the o/r x?
Thanks guys.

it really comes down to personal preference. I had the borla stingers on my 06gt w/high-flow catted H, and I thought it sounded amazing. I had MANY compliments on it, but it was a little on the loud side. You might to look at the borla touring mufflers. Youtube search "mustang o/r x and borla" or similar and it will give you some good options. youtube is handy!

Yeah youtube is handy...BUT you can't really get a good representation of what they actually sound like over some computer speakers. So I was just trying to see if people have had different setups with the x and what they liked the best or what they've heard and liked the best with the x.

Wow do i know what your talking about. I had the exact set up with the o/r x and the pype bombs, way to loud. I ended up just putting the stock mid pipe back on untill i installed my Lts. Any straight through muffler set up will be on the louder side, but like adidasunt8 said, its all preference. You throw a set of m-80 resonators on there with the pype bomb set up to quite things a bit.

Yeah 3vstang....WAY WAY too loud. And the pype bombs just don't seem to like an o/r x at all. Way to raspy. It sounds like S*** in my opinion. I've been looking at the pypes violators, can anyone stand behind that setup? I plan on adding mac longtube headers and then ***** thumpr cams.
