Default Installing new leathers and carpet

I have already installed the carpet, now i am working on the seats. So anyway does anyone have any tip or trick to get the cotter pin holding the seat lever out? I have watched the katzkin install video but does not really show how to do it... any help would be awesome.

Start with the passenger side in case you scratch the plastic (learning curve). I used a screw driver to get in there. IMO the design sucks. I just worked the screwdriver around till it popped off. Putting it back on was justt as much fun too. LOL

Ya, either a screw driver or some needle nose pliers (or both, screw driver to push a bit out then grip it with the pliers)
Mine took me a minute or two but wasnt that bad

when I put mine back on i put the pin like halfway on already then slid the lever back and just pushed the pin the rest of the way with a screw driver.

Finished the front seats tonight and the bottom part of the rear. Those cotter pins are a horrible design as well as some other things... Still debating on painting the trim of the seats too.

Default Katzkin?

Is this a Katzkin Kit?
Thinking about starting a Group Buy if I get enough interest. I too have watched the video and think there is enough how-to to get the ball rolling. Anything you think they may have left out? I appreciate you input and time.

i would like the same seat covers, is there anyway to stretch it a lil tighter or is that wrinkles that would work themselves out, also is there seat covers available for the side airbags?

You should be able to get it to fit tighter. A tip to helping it a good fit is to take the seats out and let them sit under the sunlight for some time. My uncle works at an auto upholstery shop and he installed my leathers and said that the leather conforms to the seats with a little heat.

Here's a good video on removal and installation of new seat covers.

The side airbag will just rip right through leather, stock or not. Unfortunately, that's just how it is.
