Appearance unless you have enough to supercharge it.

Thanks! I've had folks write me off as just a stock mustang with a little mod work until I put my foot into it then I think their reaction is something like Holy Shnikes that is LOUD and FAST!

I just wanted to get in on this for me it is performance first all the time. Stripes and bumpers don't help you dust the SS sitting next to you at the stop light. I don't mind being called a sleeper I've heard the same thing. Now my two cents worth is over. Good luck either way man!

I actually had a bit of a hard time commenting here, but looking at the mods the OP was mentioning like CAI / tune/ clutch those are fairly small incremental upgrades that might not have enough impact especially if they are done over time. If they had said FI, no doubt I would give that 2 big thumbs up.

I don't regret going the route I did with mine (perf first) but I decided with this car I was going perf first before looks and I've been completely happy with that choice. Now it's time to start making mine look like yes indeed this is a gun I've brought to the knife fight folks.

My 06 and 97 I went looks first and was constantly getting challenged and couldnt win as much as I wanted. So far I've truly lost once and that was a 150k car. I didnt mind losing to that totally sweet ride

Too poor for FI yet

YET...

Once I get a daily driver and a motorcycle, the supercharger/twin turbo is next on my list.

I wouldn't worry too much about the front and rear bumpers. The GT rear bumper is nice stock. The GT front bumper looks really powerful with the addition of a modified GT500 splitter IMO.

but I figured if the guy is asking if he should make his car look cooler, he wouldn't want to touch a supercharger.

The stock GT power leaves a little to be desired... i just expected more out of a muscle car with a v8

Very much so - but rice still doesn't touch me very often and I gave up street racing after a guy I know was killed and my friend was arrested for it.

Now I only "race" Lamborghini's and Ferrari's - knowing full well I'll lose.

Would mind telling your story? The more people read these stories the more lives will be potentially saved. Learning to not race on the street is a good thing.

As much as it pains me to say it. If your not gonna race your pony. Might a well get some curb appeal.
