Default Shaker 500 update

How can i make my shaker 500 like the shaker 1000 without having to buy the whole 1000 system?

If you are just looking to add the oomph to be like the Shaker 1000, then just go get a Bazooka Bass tube or some other enclosed subwoofer. This would likely be the easiest and quickest route.

Yeah i heard the 1000 is the same as the 500 just two subs in the truck. But would it be the same if i get the aftermarket subs? or do i need more than that?

Actually it is only 1 sub (I believe, if more than that it is likely a passive radiator with an actual sub) and the associated amp to run it. Get a Bazooka that is powered and you are set.

Here is one at Amazon.

Yeah it's just one. A guy I know says it's not worth it. If he could do it over again, he'd go with the 500 and not 1000.

?????????????
If its the same Shaker 1000 that is in the 07s, its actually two 10'' subs with four amplifiers. If the car came with it, its not a bad system at all once you put a more powerful head unit in. I wouldn't bother upgrading to it from a 500 though. It would be better to go with an aftermarket system.

Aftermarket is a lot cheaper and easier to do, like it's been mentioned. The nice thing about the Shaker 1000 is, that is has been acoustically tuned to provide a good balance of all the tones, so you're never going to have bass that overpowers your mids and highs completely...unless that is what you're looking for.

My car came with the 1000 and to me it sounds good. I guess I may getting old, but I can't imagine needing anything louder. The only thing I wish I had was an aux jack and navigation but I'm not spending any money on that type of stuff yet lol.
