Supercharger...and i dont think you need a new hood for s/c. I see lots of stock hoods with s/c
If you dont get a blower, you'll only feel a slight bump in power. Nothing like "HOLY **** SLOW DOWN" like you do with forced induction... (400-500hp). Guys with full bolts ons...cams...headers...CAI...tune..etc. They max out around 330-340 whp i believe (whp = hp to the WHEELS)
edit: LT = longtube headers
oh and not even sure if you have a v6 or v8

^yeah well it depends what kind of blower you have i guess... centrifugal = less heat, more top end power, less low end.... and no aftermarket hood required. Full boost around 3500rpm
Roots or whipple = more heat, full boost around 2000 rpm, easier install.
My 'centrifugal' Paxton blower (i suggest youtubing superchargers so ur not in la la land). The best thing about mine is I can swap the pulley (if I want more than 10 psi or 450whp), and go up to around 800-900 hp. Has an intercooler
