Found it (the cluster swap directions that is):

The first 2 posts in this thread explain it VERY well and has pics too. Its old and looks like he was doing a swap on a V6, but I followed same directions for my 2005 GT. Just order the right speedo. lol Good luck!

Ad mine doesnt do this. I cruise at 80 all the time on the interstate.
Did a few sprints to 100's when the road had nobody for miles. No beeps at all
I could imagine they would get annoying as hell

Default MyColor upgrade

I did this change a couple years ago. It was so simple to change and no problems with the beeping at any speed. I even installed the GT cluster with Foose faceplate. There is not difference in any gauge, including the rpms. Speedo reads correctly. My only problem with mine was I didn't have traction lock, so the light was on. I covered that particular led under the faceplate, so all works correctly. I love the MyColor option. With the new lighted sill plates (Mustang in blue), and added ambient lighting, it makes the interior pop with blue light.

I have an '07 V6 and I've driven the car over 90 and I've never heard any beeping or chime noises. Maybe the factory installed them in some cars as a way to reducing speed. If anything, I'm sure the dealership will uninstall that beeping or chime device.
