I agree. The shaker 500 in my 08 is pretty good (although not as good as my Mach 1000 I had in my 99), the shaker 500 in the 11 is terrible. Speakers sound like cheap paper speakers, barely better than the factory Ford system. I thought it was just a V6 thing but apparently it doesn't matter.

 

Here is a pic of one of my factory door speakers on a small scale.



I replaced them with Pioneer 6"x8" in the doors, that helped for the mids and highs, but they only get about 10W directly from the head. I also replaced the 8" door subs with Shelby Kickers and run them with a Sony amp with 50W each. It sounds really good now.
