Relay.Relay.Relay.

This is simple to do, relay to a line using ignition. They are then on all of the time the car would be on.

Essentially, the same thing as I explained on page 3 of this section for a thread about the halos, save in your case you would need to use a line that is hooked up to the IGN circuit.

This here:

I'd just use a multi-meter and verify one in the BEC, I "think" there is at least one unused(no fuse) there to use for this purpose. Just using an add-a-fuse available at any auto store.

Like I said wayne, I don't know to much about wiring.... So do you think you could put all that info in the thread into English for me? About how easy is it for dummies?

Editing...Didn't notice you have a 2011..

Anyhow, with your's, it's a "BJB" instead of being called BEC. Alllllllrighty then.

Here's your actual fuse and relay info.

Many of those in the BJB are tied to IGN. So a simple fuse tap will do. For example "F48", looking at page 1 and 2 of the above. Although I wouldn't really recommend using it.

Just get a friend with a bit of electronics knowledge to help you find a suitable one to use up there that's tied to IGN(ignition, or "run" as the manuals reference). Hopefully an unused slot to place your own fuse in.

I still don't understand what to do... Maybe there's a more simpler way? Or should I just go the parking light route?

You have a 2011, the thread I gave you isn't valid to use for your car. Only 05-09's. It can be a reference, but the colors and such will not be the same. See what I edited above in my last post.

The breakdown would be:

1. Get one of these and find a fuse empty or used in the BJB that is only on with the key in the IGN position.

2. Run that to pin 85 or 86 of the 12v automotive relay you also purchased.
3. Run the other pin to ground(85 or 86)
4. Then give a fused power source on pin 30 or 87.
5. Then run the other pin (30 or 87)to the halos for the actual power that will switch on by the relay.

Then, when you turn your key to the IGN position the halos come on, and stay on until that key position changes, then they shut-off by the relay breaking the connection to pins 30/87.

I think I'm behind on your replies, but the steps you gave me is all I have to follow? Nothing is left out and it's that easy? Also, where. Can I locate this sjb

You'll also of course need blade crimp connectors for the wires, crimping tool, and some patch wiring to use (16guage is fine for 85 and 86 pins, 12guage will be needed for pins 30 and 87).

Really, if you're not getting this completely, and don't know how to use a multi-meter to verify/find the fuse position to tap, you REALLY want to just ask a friend/neighbor for a few minutes of their time to do this.

The relay will need to be housed correctly, you don't want to half-**** anything to cause shorts, or otherwise..
