Definitely, if that post is still what you're on. Refresh your browser.

Just go back over what I've posted, you likely missed some edits as well. Use the "BJB", which is located in the engine bay. The picture in the diagram link I gave you previously should give you a good idea as to what it looks like. It's on the passenger side near the battery.

It's not super-hard, but you do need someone with some basic electrical knowledge and tools.

Do there are 2 wires, 1 for 30 and 1 for 87, then another 2 for 85 and 86? This is the start slot on that diagram you posted right? And where can I locate this on my car

Again, ignore that other thread and it's links, I've now posted everything needed in this thread. Just refresh your browser and look over my replies.

This is the link for your fuse diagrams, what your BJB looks like, as well as your SJB:http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=710&viewfil...nformation.pdf

The BJB, is in the engine bay, near the battery. The first page shows what it looks like. Page 1 and 2 are all you should need from that.

Ok so can you put all the information in one reply, and in order so I can try to figure everything out and show my friend tomorrow? I think I understand where I need to plug things in but I don't know howard wires will be plugged in

Also I read that the halos only take 5 things from the amp and #30 is 5 so I plug it in there right?

Yep. If he's got some electrical experience, and has done anything similar in the past, this should be cake.

Mount the relay in the engine bay, put in the halos, run and crimp on the various needed wires/connectors to relay, verify an IGN powered fuse in the BJB, place in(running the line out the bottom of the BJB), done.

He has done relays for his alternators because he has 2 for his subs, do you think he will be able to help?

They use 5amps? No, you would not for pins 30 or 87 to actually power the halos. Hence using the relay.

Adding additional draw to a line will likely blow the fuse. You want to use something that doesn't either:
a. use much of it's rated capacity, so if there's a 10amp or higher that still has 7 or better unused, that's fine,
b. another constantly on, empty slot, fused source for the relay's power or
c. run a separate fused line off the battery directly for it's draw.

The usual point to a relay is that it can have a large current draw that is triggered by a less than 100mA(milliamps) circuit, usually like 30mA is all the relay will draw on it's own.

The coil side of the relay is the trigger. It's just an electromagnet in essence, that pulls the other 2 contacts together.

pin 85 gets power, coil charges with pin 86 going to ground, then pins 30 and 87 are pulled together to close the circuit that you want to use to power the halos.

The fuse tap for IGN, to trigger the relay can be on any that are suitable, as it's draw is negliagable. So if that's what you're referring to, you're good.

Why not just wire a simple/seperate switch for them, that's what I did. It's mounted right next to my headlight switch and if left in the on position all the time they will come on and off with the ignition of the car (just like DRL), plus you can also turn them off if you ever want to. I just used simple wire taps to get power and ground from the parking lights, than ran the wires from there, through the firewall to the switch, then from the switch back to the halo lights. A smiple toggle switch from your local auto parts store will have the wiring diagram on the package (3 wires connect to the switch). If your friend has done any wiring before, a simple switch should be a piece of cake for him. If not, there are a million places on the internet to search for wiring a switch in a car. Good Luck

Can you tell me how I would perform this method with the switch?
