Prices and Disappointment

Prices and Disappointment
I've been looking around the south-western Pennsylvania area for a decently-priced 2012-2013 Mustang for about 5 months now.
All of the dealerships seem to have the following price range:
12-13 V6 with 6-speed: $29-35k
12-13 GT with 6-speed: $37-44k
Are these prices typical for Mustangs?
I was hoping to get into a V6 for around $24-$25k and, if I could swing it, about $30-$32k for a GT.
Thanks!

I see quite a few in your area aroun 25k for a 6 and 30k for the gt.
Park Ford - Tallmadge, OH
Liberty Ford - Solon, OH
Washington Ford - Washington, PA (Quite a few here)
Davies Ford - Connellsville, PA
That was a 5 minute lookaround

Expand your shopping area and I'm sure you'll find something... Hell, one of the dealerships local to me advertises their 2012 Mustang V6's for $17,999. <-see link...
If the prices are what you say there, I would pay the couple hundred for a one way ticket to fly to Texas and drive the new car back... You might enjoy that more actually, being able to stop and get pics of your new ride in front of memorable locations and sights.
Good luck,
Don

The cars in the lower part of your posted range are stickered around the MSRP on Ford's website for the '13 V6/GT Premium with 6-SP AT.
The cars in the upper part of your posted range are probably heavily optioned.
Have you factored in rebates & incentives or looked into the MCA X-Plan?

Dealers always post on Ebay.. so I did a search at 100 miles around Pittsburgh. Found cars in the range and then looked at what dealer had them.
That's how I got my car. Ended up driving to South Carolina to get it but.. hey... it was fun and.. I got the car I wanted.

Use different search methods, Cars.com, AutoTrader.com, KBB.com, only use the stealerships as your LAST resort because you know they'll jack up the prices. And um yeah, what Hotrod said, if you're seeing a GT for anything close to $40K, might as well get a BOSS 302. Geez that's a rip. Now, i got my 2011 V6'er for $20K stickered at $22K last month. I shouldv'e waited ONE MORE WEEK for the 2013's to come out and got a 2012 for that same price. But to be honest, couldn't find any in a color I liked. Mine was a steal anyways. A 2011 with 8,000 miles. Yummy deal right there. Just look around better and change your search options and use different sites. You'll find your pony
