Default Keyless Entry (not the fob chain kind)

I bought one of those push to start buttons from ebay(10 bucks so i went for it) i havent installed it yet but i think its stupid how you have to insert the key and then click it, needing to movements instead of 1 to turn on your car. My dads volvo has the system in which the car opens up if you are near it and closes as you leave and if it detects the key then you can start the car with the button and i want the same for my car, i looked around and found some for 700 which i think is just ridiculous, and then stumbled on a youtube video of a guy who did it to a really old truck for 130 bucks.

There are 3 things im looking for
-Cheap(not over 250-300)
-a sleek looking remote
-i can use the bus button i already installed because it has red LEDs and i really like it.

can anybody point me in the right direction?
something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rg_Wd...eature=mh_lolz but that is not 700 bucks

You have two options really, talking about an RFID system:
1. Cheap, essentially effing your ability to prevent easy theft.
2. Right, in which case...

https://mustangforums.com/forum/audi...t-install.html
and
https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...rt-button.html

Both using http://www.digitalguarddawg.com.

And if you think the end cost will simply be $700 for remote entry /w start system that you likely came upon... eeeeee, wrong answer. Wiring, relays, immobilizer bypass. That is assuming you are willing to do this yourself. With a good installer my guess is around $1200-1300 installed.

If all you want is keyless entry, without being tied to the starting system, then: http://www.digitalguarddawg.com/KEYL...TO-PKE-PG1.htm

well where i live car theft is usually with guns and stuff so no matter how much security i buy it probably wont make a difference, so there is absolutely no way this will go under 600?

For it to be tied into the starting system, not really, unless you're ok with butchering it.

If all you want is passive keyless ENTRY only, then you can do it for $300:

Your money, but I just don't see the point really..you still have to get the key out with this, you can just squirm around INSIDE the car trying to find it, instead of outside.

As I said. Hacked up. And NOT RFID based. This is simply bypassing the PATS for a push-button start system, and if wired right using an aftermarket alarm as the deterrent. Key FOB for entry is still required.

If you want passive entry and/or start, you will have to pay for it.

The only true exception to this is if your good with electronics to start with, in which case I can suggest a few books, #1 being "RFID toys"(also http://rfidtoys.net) put out about 8 years back. You could put something together yourself that would likely be better than what you can buy for 1/4 of the price, but it would be a very involved project.

The website for that is: http://www.uni-rfid.com/products.htm. At least the chinese manufacturer.
I'm guessing you're getting the price from here:http://www.trustedinternetbrands.com/home-page#!__uni-rfid-stand-alone-keyless-entry, that or amazon.

The one you list is likely just the model that does the doors as I've linked above, again, NOT including passive push-button starting.

Possibly legit, as to how well it will function, how much it will ultimately cost in reality in both time and money is not certain. To function with our PATS system it would have to be integrated correctly even if it's worth a damn.

Have you ever even installed an alarm system before? It is highly doubtful they're going to give you instructions beyond basic specs of the product even if it is legit.
