iTSX tuner for android
I just put a 2.57" pulley on my 4.6L supercharged Roush along with a Ford Racing Cold Air induction kit and I am in the need for a tuner. I checked out the SCT iTSX and i like the features, but I have an Android smartphone. On the written ads i see they talk about the ipad, iphone etc., but in the video they say android system works as well. Does the iTSX work for both or is it (i)TSX because it only works with the (i)phone/apple?
Just apple for now. It is blue-tooth based, so I dunno what the deal is with them not doing the app for droidOS at the same time as iOS. Likely just not finished yet and they just wanted to focus on the largest chuck of the market first, it is said to be coming though..(see quote)
Depending on how douchey they wish to be, they might keep the product lines separate, meaning if you buy the iTSX for your mustang now, the serial #/product code might lock you out of using the droidOS app when it is released later. I would contact them directly at the SCT site(link above) and ask before doing jack.

And SCT isn’t done developing the iTSX, “The best thing about iTSX being an app is the expandability,” explained Roi. “The sky is the limit because we aren’t limited by hardware like past devices. We have some cool features planned in 2012. I can tell you we didn’t forget about the Android device guys or GM enthusiasts. They should look for a Droid version of iTSX in the near future with GM support around the same time.” Technology in tuning has definitely come a long way in recent years and the iTSX is currently at the forefront of the market.

X3 is the standard really. I've not seen any other ODB-II reader/tuner that can read as much from the FORD CAN-BUS as the SCT devices can.
I wouldn't count the iTSX out though. Wireless(via bluetooth), $80 more(if gotten new) than the X3, really IMO, just can't be beat for what you get out of it. If they plan on making the release of the DriodOS app retro-active to the existing iTSX model, I'd buy it and wait myself.
So, were this me, and I was in the market, I would really urge contacting them directly via their link to ask for a definitive answer on this.

I put a PC (mini-itx) in my dash, and use a Xenarc 10.2' monitor for the face, but the popular thing to do now is putting android and ipad tablets in there.. Due to close dimensions, usually far better capacitive touch-screen, and the android based ones are around $200 coming with navigation, and most of the things you would want from a good head-unit anyhow and more..

Basic install of one of the forum guys installs, seen a few that were much better, but you're left either doing a custom job that leaves the tablet in, or doing actuators along with the normal custom work..

The new appradio 2 from pioneer will likely let you put this up on it as well from both an android based device and iOS without all that hassle though.
