Can you roast the tires in 2nd with 5.0L?
I dont plan on getting one, just curious how powerful the 5.0 really feels, I havn't been able to ride in one yet. I'm only at 5psi, ~400 crank hp, so slightly less than a stock 5.0L (but maybe the same if you count the catless H pipe and cat-back), and can spin my rear tires all the way through 2nd gear if I mash on it.
Anyone go from blown 4.6L -> stock 5.0? how'd it feel? Here a clip of me, 2nd gear only sees around 3-4 psi and 3rd gear is down to only about 3 psi. I think 4th is like stock

Thanks. Stock motor... I guess some run up to ~450 whp but that can be risky.. It has 87 k miles on it
3rd?! dang, I just watched a video of a 4.6 with my same blower with 480 whp and that thing absolutely roasted 3rd, incredible.
About losing boost, not sure, 3rd definitely feels a lot weaker than 1st and 2nd gears, and 4th feels stock. I guess it's just a super conservative tune the previous owner installed.

I think I would be correcting that my friend The stock block can handle about 450 to the wheels, that's about what 80-100 more than what you are getting now?? 450 is the general consensus as the "safe" rwhp range.

Yep u need to datalog and send it to a tuner. Call brenspeed or another reputable tuner. When I was at the track last week I was blowing doors off of 5.0s but I'm not exactly stock either. Once u get ur car sorted out u won't want to trade unless u want all the creature comforts they r offering with newer stangs

completely depends on the tires and what rubber they are made of, the surface you are trying it on, the temperature, and probably a few more things. On my stock 245 p zero neros, i could spin alot shifting into 2nd hard especially if it was below 70 degrees. On my 295 pilot super sports, 2nd hooks, along with the top of 1st on the right surface, at a good hot temperature.
