Default 2010 GT500 Price Check

Looking to get back to my roots as my first car was a V6 67 Mustang. Strayed a little since then with a 84 Camaro and 2001 Boxster. The local carmax has a 2010 GT500 with 6K miles for ~$42K. With the new 2013 versions selling for roughly $55K does this seem reasonable to you? I cab afford to be patient as I do not need a car now but the color scheme (grabber blue with white stripe and charcoal interior) is my favorite.

That's right in line with around here. A local dealer has a 2010 GT500 with 8k miles for $42, and a new 2012 for $56.

Ah, sorry. When I bought mine I just remember the guys saying they had a used GT500. If I see any I'll let you know.

Don't forget the 2013 has the new 5.8L 662hp motor... That is 120+hp more than the 540hp in the 5.4L in the 2010. If money were not an issue, I'd plop the dough down for the 2013 instead. Plus you get the benefit of ownin the last GT500's built when Shelby was still alive.

That seems pretty fair. I just bought a 2010 shelby for 39.9k. 5k miles.

Why does it need to be 2010? Just get a 2008-2009. I've seen them for low 30's and even a few high 20's.

If I were in the market for a used Shelby I'd personally look at the 2011s. The lighter aluminum block I worth the extra money (if I didn't want to plop down new marked up 2013 $$$)

But then again I'd just wait till next year for a little fairer pricing on the '13's...
