Default Hit a wall during header install...

I finally got everything off, but I have a few header bolts that are seized up. I got the nuts off and the headers off, but my question is this...can I use a combination of new bolts and the old bolts/nuts? When I took off some nuts the bolt came off too and a couple bolts came out on their own. Driver side all but two bolts are out and on the passenger side only two bolts are out....I tried screwing two nuts on and backing out the first, but when I do that the second one backs out too, so I'm at a loss....I'm installing MAC LTs...

I have a combintion of new bolts and old studs on mine. The new bolts are shorter than the studs and some fit in tight areas better than the studs.

Perfect! Now if I could just get this EGR fitting off and squeeze my headers in I'd be in business! Thanks for the info!

No problem. We took all the studs out except the bottom back 2 because the header's bolt holes were open, presumably to allow you to set the headers on them to ease installation. If you can get the ones that are stuck in there out, it will make it easier to get the headers on.

Ah, I'll go soak them now while the EGR fitting sits. They were getting caught up on some other stuff though, I didn't make it that far down with them..

The one in this pic only has one open bolt hole, but you can see what I'm talking about at least. It's hard to speak with clarity about these kinds of things.

Thanks for the image, In my mind that's what I was picturing. I got the passenger side on. I hit my seized nuts/bolts with PB along with the EGR tube, so here's hoping I can get them all separated for installation of the driver side.
