Anyone know what the ZL1 has been running stock 1/4?

That's some power. I can't get over the sound of that blown 5.8, sounds REALLY good. Coolest looking mustang, ever.

edit: reviewer in video said 11.6 GT500 is about a half second faster than ZL1

I read somewhere that the ZL1 Camaro runs 11.93 in the quater mile....not bad but, it won't beat a GT500!!

Of all the guesses of potential yours looks to be the most accurate.

Evolution performance had Jon Lund do a tune on a 2013 GT500, then for an upcoming article in 5.0, slapped on slicks and skinnies and ran a 10.02 at 141 MPH.

The vid just shows the dyno run, there is a thread on svtperformance, called "First 2013 GT500 in the 10's" with more links , pics and info.
Way too cool, wish I had more money.

John Lund created a tune and it gives the GT500 50 more HP and a extra 50LBs of TQ. Not bad for just a tune!

^Why are they not adding a pully and upping the boost? How much HP can this engine handle?

I'd be more interested with who is going to put an X brace in place of the back seat to control the fixed axel monocoque issue, and put wider tires on the car and run it as fast as possible on the f^%#@^g Nurburgring with a professional driver and release the best time to the f^&*%$g public. Erik

I think they did for that 10.04 run at 141mph. You'd need some 700rwhp to hit 141 in a 1/4 mile. I'm sure this motor will handle what the 5.4 could handle, maybe more.
