Default Clutch assembly cost?

Hello,
Is there anyone in here that might know the true cost of a clutch and flywheel assembly for an 2009 gt500, I just want to make sure that I’m not getting ripped off by my dealer. My clutch went out last week and the dealer is telling me $2100 for parts, the updated factory assembly and about $6-700 for labor. Does this sound right, anyone know for sure?

I'd ask Pascal or any of the mods listed below if this could be moved to here:https://mustangforums.com/forum/s197-shelby-section-93/

Likely get better info, as many will likely skip this general section.

IMO I wouldn't take it to the stealership unless this is warranty work anyhow. Do you not have a local chapter subsection that you can ask for a good shop in your area to get this done? I know there are far better options usually than the OEM replacement.

When you first install that 3+, be patient, it will take 800+ miles before the chatter goes away. I still have a hard time with reverse. I either have to blip the throttle and let it out fast to prevent chatter or back up very slowly while modulating the gas and fine engagement point. It's perfectly streetable, but takes some getting used to.

$2100 for a clutch is crazy! Buy an aftermarket clutch. Labor is probably normal for a dealer.
