Default Hot Rods are in and my 1/4 times are worse???

After I bought the 06, I took it down the track.. only had a 91 Tune and nothing else...

Years pass... I've added 65k miles to her... I took off the FRPP CAI for the shaker (had a cold start dead miss issue that went away too)...

So, 87 Tune (cheaper gas) and Hot rods... it got slower????? Really????

Only thing learned was it's better to hold onto 3rd gear than to shift into 4th... I leave the line about 2500 and normally shift at 6000... 100mph in 3rd is about 6200 with my set up...

So... why and what to do about it?

If they specs of those cams are similar to others then you are losing some of your low end torque, but gaining it on the top end. The hot rods also aren't the best at gaining horsepower either, they however make a killer exhaust note. If you don't already have it, I would get 4.10's installed and you will notice your times increase much more at the strip.

I ran against a dude with an 08.. he had a CAI and a 91 Tune... he got in the 13.8s with 3.31 gears (I got 3.55).. I was pulling on him until the 1/8th and then he just walked away from me...

The 3.31s will pick up on the top end.

Track conditions and temperature make a big difference too. I took mine out and all i have is muffler delete's and a 91 tune with brenspeed and I got 13.9's

When I was completly stock I ran 13.90@99 mph but I have an auto.
The DA has everything to do with your ET's. With cams you really need 4.10 gears too.

Go back to the 91 oct and tune or 93 oct and tune, if you can get 93 oct gas, and try it again.
