Default Got dynoed today..

I went to the dyno today. put down an amazing 258 rwhp. lolz. I have a spark plug or a coil pack that's gone bad. After class tomorrow I'm gonna figure out which it is and what cylinder it's one and get it replaced. I've never had one go bad before. I could tell a difference in the exhaust note, but I thought that maybe my midpipe had just come loose and I had a small exhaust leak. Oh well, at least it isn't an expensive fix.

edit: AFR was deathly lean too, around 14. Gonna do some datalogging tomorrow and get it fixed hopefully.

Anyway, it was a huge letdown for me because I've been crazy busy lately and this was the bright spot of my week. Either way, thanks a lot to Mike at Unique Tuning. He's a really nice guy and I enjoyed the experience, even if the results were inconclusive.

I would imagine that you'd be showing rich if you weren't getting spark in a cylinder.

All this time I thought you were blown. I should pay more attention apparently.

I would think so too, but I have the graph to prove it. It's not out of timing; I know that for sure.

I'll go back next week hopefully.

That sucks, hate paying for dyno time and it not work out the way you wanted it to, hopefully on the next trip you will get more accurate numbers. Also, the cams are in and appeared fine during hand rotation.

That's one positive for the week at least. If I can find a printer cable lying around I'm going to do some datalogging tonight and try to get the AFR issue fixed at least.

Oh I didn't mean to imply you weren't running lean. I was just curious if you're sure your problems are ignition related.

I asked him about it and he said that it looked like a textbook sparkplug/coil pack. Although I agree, I would think it would be richer if a cylinder wasn't getting spark. Do you think it could be something else?

o2 sensors detect oxygen, not fuel, so if it's not burning the oxygen, it will show lean. I got a lean code when my coil died.

Even a wideband 02 sensor can only detect the amount of oxygen, correct me if I'm wrong.
