2012 Gears MT82
I have 3.31's and yes, another gear thread, but not much mt82 talk on the forum.
Does anyone have 4.10's, if so, how bad/good is it?
Did anyone jump from 3.31 to 3.73 or 4.10? If so, worth it? How is the day to day driving? Is 1st gear useless?
My debate is 4.10 or 3.73 - This is my DD and driven about 25 miles one way to work 50/50. I've done 3.73 is my 99 and 07 and liked it, but just want to get 4.10 opinions since it's a 6 speed.
I do not care about MPG'S or I would not have bought the car.. More concered with traction and being practical....
Cool calc here for those interested, found on another forum....

MT-82 ratios as follows;
3.66
2.43
1.69
1.32

I'm really happy with the 3.73 gears in my DD. 4.6 engine. 18-20 city average. 24-25 highway. Our highway speed limits are 75 here. Traffic cruises about 80-85. At 80, my rpms in 5th are 2500.
I find myself sometimes starting off in 2nd because 1st seems kind of short for city driving. That said, I would think 4.10's would make 1st be too short for a DD.
