Default Somebody tried to slash my tires and put something in my gas tank.

Well, there is a big mark where somebody was trying to cut into one of my tires - and failed at it. All the marks go the same direction, and not in the direction that curb rash would.

And now my fuel sensor is screwing up, so I'm thinking somebody put something in my gas tank, too. And this is just the kind of crap the little sh*ts I go to school with would pull.

Second day in a row that I've had over 3/4ths of a tank of gas and all of a sudden I get the fuel low warning.

I'm going to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes tonight. Which lead do I disconnect first?

Thanks

Sounds like it's time to do two things:

1. File a police report.
2. Buy a gun.

As for your question, just disconnect the negative lead. no need to disconnect them both.

I'd be cautious if they actually put something in your tank. you may want to consider having it towed and drained.

time to invest in a locking gas cap.

Damn, sorry to hear that man. I've been worried about the same thing for my 11 GT since you just have to tap on the gas lid to open it..
Will be watching this thread closely.

We definitely need more kids in High School with guns.

It isn't affecting anything other than the fuel level sensor. Anything they put in is just getting caught in the fuel filter. I'll still be listening carefully.

Shame, I just spent all the money I had on parts from AM. Now I'll have to spend all my next paycheck for new rear tires (which I really needed anyhow) and a locking cap. And I had restaurant reservations that I'll have to cancel.

I'm seriously just sick over this.

Siggy, just go away. I don't need your crap on this thread.

Did I do something to **** in your cheerios this morning? I was just pointing out to Tman that the OP (you) is (are) in high school and shouldn't be toting a gun around.

Bummer about the car though. I know I'd be mad if that happened, but I can't say I'm all too surprised given the environment. My HS was relatively small, so people didn't mess with cars much.

I'll chalk your post up to being in an understandably pissy mood over what happened, but if there is something else driving your hatred of me, by all means let me know.

Is there any chance at all that the parking lot has cameras?

A locking gas cap was one of the first things I bought due to crap like this. Best of luck.

And sorry, but I agree with Siggy. No high schooler should be carrying a gun. If one must perform self defense, then by all means, that's your choice. But at that age there's too many poor judgments as it is.
