Default Guys, I finally got it!

It's a used 8.8"!! I'm planning on rebuilding it with 3.73's. I'm very excited to get everything in and on the car! Haven't been this ecstatic since I bought the car. I know there will be a noticeable difference, I just can't wait to see and feel how much.

I'm not at all skilled at installing the gears, and would rather a professional do it that way I don't get the whine. Is there anyone here that is in Northern Virginia that can tell me of a trusted shop that they go to?

One last thing, i'm not sure what the outer metal plates are. They are bent up and i'm going to replace them. Do I have the same part on my 7.5" and can I use them on this one or should I go buy new? I honestly don't know what it's for.

Sorry for the bad quality pictures. I don't have a professional/high end camera, so my cell phone pictures will have to do for now.

The bent up parts were the brake dust covers. It got bent up when we strapped it onto the pallet. You should be just fine using the ones off your 7.5.

I'm really glad it got there okay!

Those are just the shields for the brake rotors.

Made it here in one piece. It turns out that the Fedex drivers daughter lives two houses down from me. Small world. Haha.

My day is even better now that I know I can use the brake dust covers off my 7.5.

Next paycheck is definitely gears. And then I'll start piecing everything together one thing at a time.

I was looking everywhere. Craigslist, junkyards. Stuff like that. Everyone wanted $1,000+ around here. I decided on a new one.

Then I noticed Tanner bought a wrecked 4.6. I contacted her and had it shipped here.

Nice! you will notice a difference in accel. and handling. you might want to consider removing the rust and painting it black before you install. I did and it was well worth the extra time I waited.

these were the best photos i had.

That's definitely going to be the last thing I do. Paint it and get a nice cover for it.

Yours looks really clean, COOL.
