Default I need some help for my emissions test!!

Ok well today I went to get my emissions tested and failed cause of the CAI and tune shutting off the 02 sensors. I went home and swapped back to stock real quick (CAI and tune) and it ran horribly. Super rich and couldnt accelerate much at all. Then I remembered my "stock" tune is actually a 93 octane tune for my CAI that got stuck in the stock tune spot since I received a faulty tuner when I bought it (it loaded my 93 octane then wouldnt work at all so I lost the stock tune)

So what are my options? Can I somehow download a stock tune to my SCT to run with my oem intake or can AM send me a tune that will pass with the CAI?

The only option I know of for sure that will work is having ford reflash it too a new stock tune (which means I will have to get my custom tunes rewritten for the new numbers). Id rather avoid that since its going to cost me $100 or so and its SCT's fault because of the defective tuner that lost my stock tune.

Who wrote your tunes? You may be able to get an emissions-friendly tune. I've heard that it works for some and not for others.

American Muscle/Bama

I need to figure out of its possible to get the stock tune back somehow. Right now its tune to "stock" which is actually the custom tune that overwrote the stock file. I emailed SCT and Bama but Im not sure how soon I will get it figured out and I need the emissions tested by the next week or two at the latest

They can't fail you for the CAI. They only failed you because the reader saw that the rear O2 sensors were turned off. Bama will write you a tune that turns the rear o2 sensors back on.

Can't you do a strategy tune? (OE tune, built into the tuner that allows you to set parameters.) That will give you the option to turn on/off. Do you have a O/R pipe? The 99-04 would pass with eliminators or 02's off... Not the 05+ The computer will not allow the "readiness" like the old cars.

Bama's 87 Street tunes I know for sure still have the 02 sensors on. At least mine did, so if you have that tune, use it. I had that and passed no problem. Emission guys almost seemed excited I passed, almost thought I wouldn't because of my exhaust. The guy walked up to my car and smiled, saying, "She passed."

What were the three tunes you had Bama send you when you ordered the tunes?

I bought the CAI and Tuner combo
Installed the CAI
Tuned the car to 93 octane
The tuner stopped working immediately so I couldnt reflash to stock
I sent the tuner to SCT
They sent it back fixed but unmarried
When I plugged it in it saved the current 93 octane tune as stock since it was unmarried to the car.

Definitely wasnt what I wanted to do. The issue was that I received a faulty tuner. It didnt work the first time I plugged it in so I unplugged and replugged. Then it powered on so I went ahead and tuned it. 5 minutes after that it never turned back on again.

I loaded a strategy tune and selected to keep the o2 sensors on but when it loaded my car wouldnt start. When I turned the key it was just silent. So ive got the 93 octane back on and I guess ill wait to hear from Bama or SCT. I looked at the 87 street tune and didnt see an option to keep the o2 sensors on
