Default 06 Mustang GT Supercharger Kit Advice

I have been looking at upgrading my 06 GT but I am still very new to all of this so I wanted to get some advice on any good supercharger kits out there. I have about $6,000 to spend on the kit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The great majority of us have twin screw blowers. Kennel Bell, whipple and the Rousch TVS. The first two being the most popular. Get the more comeplete kits and it will be the basis for rear wheel horsepower in the mid to high 400s. Other less popular twin screws don't make the power, run too hot or have little to no customer support. Good luck. You will love your car afterwards. I encourage you to do the work yourself.

I recommend Whipple. No bias, of course.

I love my saleen blower, but unless you get it from a place like brenspeed, get a more mainstream brand for the customer support.

Really? This is a DIY job? So do you just find a tuner in the area after it's installed or is a custom tune usually part of the deal?

Mine came with the centrifugal paxton NOVI 2200SL and air cooler setup... not many here have centri's. This setup is right under $6k new

Pros: With a pulley swap, this setup can handle up to 900 hp. Stock pulley is 10-12psi max (around 450whp). Pulls harder and harder closer to redline. Doesn't run as hot as other types of s/c since it's not on motor and different design. It's basically a turbo that is belt driven.
Cons: All motor power till 3000 rpm, then the boost hits. Doesn't whine like a whipple or roush. Might not look as cool, depending on person.

Comes as a kit, see the link I sent for the instructions....send the PCM to Rousch, they send it back overnight with the new tune!

Here is my install notes:

The Whipple will give you everything in the kit you need to have 465rwhp on about 10.5lbs, you will love it. Erik
