I would agree. With the hood stripe is doesn't work, matte or gloss.
Loose the hood stripe and go gloss up top...now that's cookin with gas
Mine was painted by a friend and is gloss black.
Surprisingly, the guys that did put gloss black on their roof made it look good. It's different but it does also give it the impression of a glass roof.
