Default Race Fuel Question

I want to get one of my tunes that I've purchased for race gas. I've done some research, and these Sonoco fuels seem to be what are available to run in cars. Are all of these safe? Have any of you guys tried any of these? Also, I notice that Sonoco lists the Octane and Research Octane. On pumps, we see the AKI which is the average of these two octanes... what number does my tuner need to work with? Thanks in advance!

Call me crazy, but your tuner should know what to go by if he's tuning the car.

Also, if the car is stock, why bother with race fuel? Just get some good old 93 at the pump at call it a day.

If you were switching over to E85, that'd be a different story...

Again though, why bother with the race fuel?

Its expensive, if you forget and have the timing set for it it'll go boom boom.

Is there E85 in your area?

CAI, UDP's and gears are nothing to get excited over higher octane. But if that's what you want, then discuss it with your tuner.

I run a 50/50 mix of 93 and 110. Really runs great for me.

So you're tuned for about 101.5 octane? If you're tuned for 93 and running that 50/50 mix, you're wasting your money.

I never really done the math, but its a noticable difference in throttle response and acceleration. Plus it smells good.

It must be that TB spacer you're running... Those darned things are the bees knees...

First off are any of those leaded? If so, scratch them off the list since they will destroy cats and o2 sensors
