throttle body.. it's on the middle top of motor, where the air enters. Must remove the opposite end of your airbox tube, the part connected to the motor, to see/clean it. Inside of this is a flap or valve, opens when you press on the gas, closes when you are not giving gas

It can also make your car die at idle if it's really nasty

Well, the guy that had the car before me was British, and didn't seem to know much about cars.
I'll be checking everything as soon as it cools off this evening.
Just glad I was able to limp home and pick up another car before going back to work.
I do have a new CAI. Maybe something from that got in the TB...

Did you check with your tuner to see if your tune needs to be updated for the new CAI?
The crankcase oil has nothing to do with your idle problem. In addition to the TB cleaning and fuel filter replacement, I'd run THE PROPER MIX of SeaFoam thru the fuel system to help POSSIBLY rule out a dirty injector (unless the injectors are really FUBAR).
