It can also make your car die at idle if it's really nasty

Well, the guy that had the car before me was British, and didn't seem to know much about cars.

I'll be checking everything as soon as it cools off this evening.

Just glad I was able to limp home and pick up another car before going back to work.

I do have a new CAI. Maybe something from that got in the TB...

"Throttle Body". Memorize it. You will see TB often on the forum.

Also, Since you just put on a new CAI you need to check and see if the MAF is gunked up from the oil on the air filter. I would clean the MAF, the TB and go from there.

Wouldn't a gunked up MAF affect the way the car drives?

Do both, you will basically have it apart anyways.

Did you check with your tuner to see if your tune needs to be updated for the new CAI?

The crankcase oil has nothing to do with your idle problem. In addition to the TB cleaning and fuel filter replacement, I'd run THE PROPER MIX of SeaFoam thru the fuel system to help POSSIBLY rule out a dirty injector (unless the injectors are really FUBAR).

This, that was my thought. Clean it all while you have it all apart.
