I've always disliked the chrome interior bits on the Mustang, such as the door handles and the silvery bits around the steering wheel and chrome center cap.
So I bought some 3M black matte vinyl wrap and rolled up the sleeves on my DIY-omatic.
It was easy, I have no experience with 3M black matte vinyl. A little common sense and heat gun go far. I did it this morning -- took me about 2 hours.
Results:
First image is a stock steering wheel I found online.
Second image is my steering wheel, notice the lack of silver spokes around the outside and the center cap is blacked (except the cobra).
Third image is my door handles.
Looks better, I like it. However I never really paid much attention. I just know my steering wheel feels ten times better than the 90's cars I owned before this one
Turned out really well, I think it looks great. I don't personally mind the metal accents in the cabin but it's sweet that you disliked it and got the job done fixing it up the way you like
i dont really mind the Chrome accents on the interior. Just have a problem with it on the exterior. But I get what you mean. Looks like it turned out really nice. I like it. Good Job
