Radio issue after replacing battery
Hey guys, I put this in another part of the forum but haven't gotten any responses yet so I thought I would try here. I recently had to put a new battery in my car. Now my radio doesn't light up with the rest of my interior lights at night and my aux outlet will no longer recognize that I have anything plugged in. I've done everything I can think of short of taking the radio out. Also, has anybody else had any problems with their charging system in general. Mine is a 07 and this is the second battery I've put in and I've had to replace the alternator.

Sounds like a blown fuse.
I found this video interesting, especially near the end when he checks for current drain. Something you should do after you find the power issue with the radio. Good luck.

Likely corrupted info, ie. would likely need replacing. hold buttons 3 + 6, then press 1 during the speaker test to show shaker diagnostic codes.

As to charging issues, you'd need to differentiate between a parasitic drain issue, or it just not charging..
I just replaced my alternator. This is the OEM remnants of the rectifier board...
Notice anything wrong?
IMO, largest issue is lack of foresight, heat is the primary cause of all that(1 diode that didn't look absolutely FUBAR when examined, broken, missing bottom piece, etc). Basically gets baked where it's mounted.
Pic before I tore completely into it for rebuild:
Toasty!
